Lilly Global Day of Service Improves Health, Education and Communities

Every year, Lilly employees volunteer in local communities around the world through our Global Day of Service. We partner with local organizations to advance their efforts to promote healthy lives, healthy minds and healthy communities. Our employees have volunteered in 65 countries and given more than 1.2 million hours since 2008.
This year, Lilly is pivoting to virtual or remote projects that focus on people affected by COVID-19 and support for our racial justice efforts. With so many people struggling with health problems, job loss, isolation and more due to COVID-19, as well as racial injustice, our social impact efforts are more important than ever.
Projects for employees this year include making masks, giving blood, donating clothing and other necessities, participating in a 1,000-mile virtual step challenge to benefit Special Olympics, creating virtual STEM curriculum for local schools and more. Learn more in this video:
