Michael B. Mason
Executive Vice President and President, Lilly Diabetes, Eli Lilly and Company
Mike Mason is executive vice president of Eli Lilly and Company and president of Lilly Diabetes. He is responsible for the global development and commercialization of Lilly’s diabetes franchise.
Mike joined Lilly in 1989. During his 32-year career with the company, he has held various roles in research and development, engineering, manufacturing, strategy, business development, marketing, sales and corporate leadership. His extensive experience covers a variety of therapeutic areas such as neuroscience, osteoporosis, oncology, urology, cardiology, and diabetes.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Purdue University.
Mike was named to the board of directors of the National Association of Manufacturers in 2021. He also serves on the board of directors for United Schools of Indianapolis and Diabetes Moonshot Impact. He is a past chair of St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital’s operational board of directors and served on the board of directors of Canada’s Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies and Scarborough General Hospital.
